Cross-country courses have many straight forward fences with level approach challenges.
The soil is sandy, so the footing should be good, whether the weather is or not.
Stabling is limited to 75 horses, but off-site stabling should be available in the Abilene area.

Click here for a Schooling Release Form

Please - check in with the office when you go out to school the cross-country course,
and check back in when you return.
    Open Schooling Availability
The course will be open until October 4. Then it is closed until the Horse Trials.

Open Schooling is available by reservation. Call Adri.
Availability depends on event schedules, construction schedules, and on the weather.
Availability of the water complex depends on someone calling a week ahead to have it filled.

    The schooling fee is $35.

The current fall schooling schedule is:

*** Call a week ahead if you want us to fill the water complex. ***

Unfortunately, we haven't mastered the art of being in two places at once and  we have to be at Corona to have open schooling here.  That means that if we're away working other events or building other courses, there's no open schooling at Corona.  We wish this weren't the case, but for now it is.  We're working on it.

If you want to school on a days that we don't have listed, call us and we'll try to work with you.  But please understand that there will be times when schedules, or the weather, just don't cooperate.

We've arranged to be here most of the time from now until the course closes October 4,  so the course should generally be available by appointment, weather permitting.  Rain would really help - in moderation of course.

We are located in central Texas, just a few hours driving time from most Texas eventing locations.  This makes schooling here inviting for a day, or a weekend, or a week.  Stalls and camping are available on the grounds, or accommodations can be found in nearby Baird or Abilene.  Click here for estimated driving times and distances.
